Must've missed that, huh?
HEI systems need that ground to survive. Most use a sheet metal, dog-legged shaped terminal that fits under the coil, and uses one of the coil screws to make the contact. There are some coils that have an extra wire that must be placed on that same screw, but it stilll needs the metal terminal.
Glad ya got it fixed, however!!
