Good Morning;
I'm wondering which side (passenger or driver) that the oil filler cap is located on the engine. I notice that mine is under the air duct (breather to fender). A real awkward place to service. I noticed on another car that it was on the "drivers side"...and is easily accessible . Which is correct??

drivers side.

the crossed flag emblem should be on the passenger side valve cover, hidden under the air intake duct work.

Well...then what is the best kind??? cork or rubber??... The only part that concerns me is moving the hard line and hose that goes to the air pump...on the passengers side.

I prefer the rubber gaskets over cork myself. The only thing I can tell you, is just take your time with moving the A.I.R. junk out of the way. The whole job will probably take you a couple hours.

I served in the Army(active duty),then in the N.Y. Army National guard from 1985-1996, and now serve in the N.Y. Air Nat.Guard, 1996- present. I'm a E-6/Technical Sgt. waiting to (hopfully soon) make E-7/Master Sgt. before I retire.
My civilian job, I work for the local Highway Dept.

Well...I'm planning on changing out the plugs n' plug wires...I suppose it would be prudent to just do it all. I'm not much of a mechanic, but my last ride was an 89 Jag XJS convertible. You ALWAYS have to tinker with the dirty bugger just to keep it running. I finally ran out of patience (and money) and bought this car for $5500 piasters. From all the C3's I looked at here in th' Northwest...this one was by far the best. I need to get off my Duff and take a picture to add to my posts.

I just retired Jan 2003 from the ORARNG. I spent a hitch in th' Corps in the mid-60's. Then after a 17 year break, I joined th' guards and finished it out. I have 23 years total service. Now I just have to wait 3 more years before I can collect my pension.
