Hey Gang, Got another issue I could use some advice on. Changed the oil & filter. Ran for awhile & no leaks. Next day I back her out of the garage & notice a couple of drops of oil on the floor. Looked underneath an saw a small amount of oil ready to drip off the filter. Thought I just didn't tighten the filter well enough, so I wipe it off a tightened it a little more. (1/2 turn w/ oil filter wrench. Good & snug now). Ran for few minutes w/o any leak. Took her for a ride, came back, no leak.  Next day, before I even started her, looked underneath, and there it was. Couple of drips on the floor and another one ready to drop from the filter.
Any Ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

You may want to pull the filter off and look at the rubber seal.  Sometimes the old seal will stick to the engine, and stay there when the new one is put in place.  This will often create a leak.   I have seen it happen several times.   Just a thought.

OK, I'm gonna take a stab at this.
I'd go ahead and drain out the new oil. Save it if you want to.
Chuck the oil filter and get a new one.
Clean around the surface area on the block where the filter gasket meets up with it. (I use a few paper towels.)
Re install the new filter after lubing it and re use or put in new oil.
I'm thinking that the filter is defective or the gasket may have gotten some debris on it that you may not have noticed.
 
That's what I'd try first.

kstyer, good thought...have done this myself, in a rush and not paying attention. If that's not the case though while you have the old one off put on a new filter and see if it stops.

I know this may sound weird, but check to make sure you don't have 2 gaskets on the filter.  The old gasket didn't come off with the filter and I didn't notice.  Wacko   This happened to me years ago and it leaked quite a bit like yours.  Probably not your problem, but you never can tell.   Didn't think it would happen to me either.

Prolly a bad filter...usually, the two gasket scenario will pour quite a bit of oil while running, but not always, so check that first.
Are you certain its new oil? Could it be some of the old oil running down the new filter from the filter adapter? I've seen that many times, too.
If it ain't old oil, or two gaskets, it's prolly a filter leaking at the rolled bead at the top...can you say "Heche en Mexico"? Adams' Apple2008-10-27 19:57:34

I have to wonder why it doesn't leak while running, but does after it sits.  If it was the filter or its gasket, wouldn't it start leaking while the engine was running and making oil pressure?  Or maybe it just takes that long to run down.  If all else fails, there is dye you can put in your oil, so you can see the source.

I'm w/Dave on this one.  Have you checked the seam @ the head at the back of the engine on the drivers side?  Much like a leaky roof on a house, the point of drip may not necessarily be the area of origin...
