Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

I can see the rod cap is coming off of the rod.  That means at least the rod is causing the knock.  And the crank is damaged.  One rod and crank minimum.  Hopefully there is no damage to the block.

Look at it this way.  It's the perfect time to install a new set of rods and a crank from a 400, and make a 383 stroker.  Bore the cylinders a bit, put the right heads and cam in, and you will have a real mean engine.

As we often say,  How fast do you want to go? How much do you want to spend?

thanks guys.  hope to have it out shortly.  will let you know.  if I can, I will rebuild it.  if I can't, then I'll build another.  never built an engine.  I'm looking forward to this project.       just wish it didn't come about this way.
