is this an external oil pressure gauge or is the engine already in the car..
if external.. just recheck with another gauge.. or you can get a "oil pressure line repair kit" at any of the parts stores like "auto junk" or "crap boys" and use this as an extension to test with internal gauge and engine outside car.
if internal, recheck with an external and check your line for breaks.. those plastic oil lines get brittle and leak.
running a drill at full speed you have between 60 and 70 lbs of oil pressure (i just did this a few days ago).
even if you do get your gauge to read... make sure you do what I mentioned in an earlier post about making sure your lifters/pushrods/rockers are oiling.
