Well that was interesting...I gotta thank 2cruzn for giving me a hand today. I learned alot...  Especially the lesson about never unhook the main fuel line while laying under it....DOH !

The old leaky NASTY engine is now hanging on a hook in the garage.  Time to grease and detail the engine compartment and then drop the new engine in....

Man, I can't wait to hear how the rest goes. I think I am as excited as you guys. Nothing like that first crank.

Jim... you mean "degrease" don't you... Wink there was plenty of oil and grease there... when finished.. that is gonna be one sweet ride...Thumbs%20Up

By the way.. the removal went great... no major problems. Only thing hung up was the transmission lines to the radiator... forgot to remove them from the side of the oil pan... no biggie tho... we didn't tear anything up.
One problem we have with the new engine and the new short water pump. The supply side of the water pump hits a bolt on the timing chain cover. Will have to change it or cut it down. The water pump flange will not mate properly to the block until we do....

Yeah...I meant de-grease.....still having trouble seeing exactly what I'm typing....things are still a little hazy....

BTW, your brass hammer is still here....not that you think you lost it...
