Looks good Glen. You'll have a lot of fun with that engine. I've been running the same one you got there for a few years now. Very durable engine IMO. The only difference is I put a LT4 Hot cam in it after running it for couple years. I got bored and wanted a little more power.
I have the same problem of tearing the left side motor mount on mine. I've gone through 3 so far. I can tell when I rip one apart...there is a loud bang between 1st to 2nd gear shift at full throttle. I wish I could find a decent motor mount.
Good luck!

OK Glen, does this mean we will stop every 3 hours and wash the cars, wipe down the headers and polish the chrome on the way to Arkansas? All I need every 3 hours is a tank full of gasoline..Lets roll Glen

P.S Invest in a set of heat shield boots for the spark plugs wires between the headers, save the wires, I burnt almost every wire going to Pigeon Forge..No problems now..

Nice engine, great looking headers and even better radiator! I'm really trying hard to talk myself out of a chrome alternator but you not making it easy for me with those pictures. Looks good! Is that paint on the pulleys and brackets or powder coat?
Glen I suppose you know how much fun it is to replace booster rod back onto brake pedal! That small clip is the most fun anyone can have with your cloths on.Last month I pulled motor in about 30 minutes, and clip on booster rod......2hrs!

I am looking forward to the additional ponies
. I headers are only snug, I may pull them off when I do the install, same with the fuel pump. I wanted everything in place while I work out the fuel line route and plug wires. Should have the aluminum plug wire guides here tonight. I have plug wire bootes and covering for the wires going to the starter on my list to buy. The headers are ceramic coated from Jet-Hot so I hope that will help with the heat. Pullyes are painted with rattle can gloss black engine paint. I was going to powder coat but there is no one close by and I don't want to do it in my oven. The wife might get a little mad with that
. The clip on the brake pedal wasn't bad if you compair it to getting to the upper left nut on the booster. I think I spent 2 days to get that nut off. Every time I got frustrated I had to take a couple hour break(lots of breaks). Didn't what to take the sawzall to the firewall
, was tempted though.
Terry, I figured you would help me detail the engine bay before the show

Well I decided to go and check the concetricity of my old bell housing with the new motor. Boy am I glad I did. It's off by .013"
. None of the parts houses in this small town has offset dowel pins
so it looks like I will have to place another order with Summit.

Been snowing all day so I got bored and bent up some steel fuel. Here are a couple of pic's of what I did.

Looks good! I had a pretty tight fit with my fuel pump lines and the frame. Yours looks like it will work better though since your lines come off the bottom of the pump. Have you painted your engine bay yet?
