I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Glad to hear its nothing serious, there is no way that i know of to remove the stop leak short of a total cooling system flush, that stuff likes to stay when it's installed.

And you know something,It came to me in a dream last night.I was standing by my Vette looking at the engine and a voice said check the dip stick stupid. When I got up this morning(4:30 AM)thats the first thing I did after getting dressed.
Yes,I'm so releived
I've got another ?.I put a new cap and rotor on and that stopped the back fireing. But now my brand new oil pressure sending unit don't work.It kinda strange because I was very careful working around it.I'm thinking of taking it back to Auto Zone.

Suggestion- Start a new thread for this problem unless you think the two problems are somehow related.
Well it might be a false alarm.I DO NOT HAVE WATER in my oil.Dip stick is clean oil and nothing else.Don't flame me to bad,I put a bottle of bars leak in my overflow tank a couple of weeks ago.I was doing some trouble shooting with my cooling system.I forgot about that.I guess I should have put it in radator. It was late last night and I did't have time to look any futher.I'll get back with you all later to night.By the way the engine runs better than it ever has.just had a small tune up
Good news! Me being Mr. paranoid, I would still do an oil change and take a close look at the oil to make sure.
It have a hard time trusting them dipsticks

I did a good check at the shop where I take my Vette to have anything I can't do.They are a good fair place and they know old cars.Maybe a mod can remove this so I don't suffer anymore.God I feel silly.I go off the deep end when I start comming down with something.OH MAN I'VE GOT CANCER!!!!you know, stupid stuff like that.
Don't worry about it - I've done it once or twice myself
. What's important is that you solved the problem and also that you felt comfortable enough to ask the question here. That speaks a lot about the quality of people here and their willingness to help. There's no flaming here, just people helping solve problems (with some occasional ribbing sometimes)
