Oil Pressure is excellent, the motor does not smoke or tap.

The only reason I even consider regasketing the motor is because I want to detail the enegine compartment and surrounding area.

At this point since the motor runs great I think I will leave well enough alone.

there's definitely something to be said of "preserving" the frames of corvettes, that is the last thing you want to deal with down the road!!

Well, I can say from experience that it is awful tempting to do lots to the engine in this case. Probably should do what will make you happy and live with that. If not, you will get trapped into a "restoration vortex" that may get too far into the thing and get expensive. I planned on a major restoration but as usual, it takes twice as long and cost three times what you think. The car will look and run like new, but it has been a really long journey. I hope to get the oil, gas, and water into the car today, put it back on the ground and call all the gear head buddies for a start up party soon. Good luck |bouncy| |biggrin|
