Can I change cams with the engine in the car? The only dilema I see is that degreeing it in might take a little more time due to the angle at which I am looking at the front of the engine. Any tips?
Thanks guys

I just got my '79 started tonite after a cam change. I took the radiator & rad support out to gain the access. While all that room was there & everything was in plain view, I decided to clean up the frame & control arms & put a fresh coat of primer & paint on much of the engine compartment (frame, control arms, sway bar, fender shkirts, everywhere I could reach) I'm glad I took the extra time, it looks 100 times better. What cam are you going with? I just put in a CompCams 286 Magnum w/ 1.6 roller rockers. Also put in screw in rocker studs & stud girdles for extra protection. Are you porting the heads? I did mine w/ a Dremel, that took the longest but it's worth it for the added gains. Good luck, take your time, do it right. Feel free to ask any questions, the whole thing is still pretty fresh in my mind.
