Good info guys. How about posting the same instructions for a small block with solid lifters. Also, how often do you suggest adjusting them with solid lifters and does a high lift long duration cam make a difference?

Solid lifter are a bit different. They can be adjusted warm or cold. Cold is easier. But the choice depends on what the specs say. Some are speced to hot, some cold. You can't mix hot or cold, or the adjustment will be off.
The spec depends on several things. Use OEM specs or the specs designed by the mfg of the cam and lifters. If they are a bit too loose or tight, you will notice a change in the torque curve of the engine.
Ajust one cylinder at a time and turn the engine. Or you can look at the specs, and turn the engine to TDC and do half of the valves, then turn the engine one turn and do the other half.
