I was reading somewhere that roller rockers on an older (markIV, big block) is not suggested. It has to do with the poor oiling design of the engines. Any of you folks hear /know anything about this? huk_finn 38730.6208564815

The PO of mine installed roller rockers way back then, as the original GM (I was told) had a tendency to break in the big blocks.
When installing roller rockers, the valve cover has to be replaced as well, for one a little higher. That could be the reason some people had bad experience if they kept the original covers.

I've never heered of this one!
We've run roller rockers on every BB racer I've ever run, from drag cars, drag boats, super gassers, pro-gas, etc. Sounds like an old "bubba" tale!
