Vette(s): 1982 corvette crossfire production numer C5101985. Color is silver and claret. All original numbers match. slight mods to crossfire for better efficiancy and power balanced and added fuel pressure assembly between throttle bodies,
wow I just started the 82 and boy she is running rich. its been a few months since I ran her but for my wife to notice that its running rich when she isnt mechanicly inclined what so ever not to dis any ladies out their but my wife really honestly isnt, I think their may be an issue someplace.
any ideas were to start?

I was invited to take her to a few car show's already so I thought I would start early on the after winter storage.

Vette(s): 1981 Great White Shark. Red Interior, 350/190 hp. PS, PB (SS), A/C CC, T-Tops. Served three years in Active Duty Army, then Retired Air Force after 34 years! Badger State Vettes Car Club. 175,000 Original miles!! Now own a 1998 C-5!
That cross-fire system is hard to adjust.  Let her run for awhile, give the ECM (you do have one of those don't you?) a chance to work.  If all else fails let me know, I may have another solution in mind!!

Do you have a battery dis-connect, or was the battery dead? If so, it may take a few miles of running to get it all "set/relearned" right...
You may have also had a fuel pressure regulator that took a doo-doo while sitting.
I'd say run it for a few miles(if possible), and see if it works itself out. If not, I'd start by checking the fuel pressure, and go from there.

Hello,

There are a number of things that can force a "limp home mode".  Are there any codes?

In "limp home mode" it runs full rich.  In the thin hot air of the desert, I could really feel when
my 82 would drop out of closed loop operation.

All the best.

Good point, Keith. No mention of the "Check Engine" light on, but yer right...if it set certain codes, it would definitely go into rich mode...
