hi guys,
just an update.
i used pb blaster,let it soak overnite and also hit the heads.
the exhaust manifolds came off real easy !!! in fact most of the bolts that i sprayed have loosened up !!
i only have 1 bolt that i broke the head off of before i did the above. i will have to go buy a set of easyouts!

Glad it worked out.  Joel was right on the money with advice.
 
I just want to add one more for future projects.
GM Rust Penetrant and Inhibitor
      Heat Valve Lubricant
This is GM part number 1052627
 
This is by far and away the best penatrant you will ever use.   PB Blaster is great, but weak by compairson.   And the GM stuff has graphite, so once it's in there, it continues to lube when the penatrant is gone.  You will only get it at a GM dealer, and some of them have never heard of it, but can get it by the part number.    Nothing better.

Biggest thing is don't get in a hurry. These things didn't rust in tight overnight so don't expect them to wanna leave right away.
If ya git to a tight onethat doesn't wanna budge with the aove methods give it a twist then a squirt and walk away. It hard to do especially if your on a time schedule. If your not you will benefit.
Another good method is to work it forward, squirt, then work it in reverse. This is slow as well but works very well.

good advise!
i am actually doing that with  the bolts that hold on the starter. every time i walk by the engine, (it's on a stand) i give it a squirt, a tap on the head with the punch and a slight twist.
i hope it will loosen up soon. i'm gonna get the gm product mentioned by kstyer above. between every thing they better come out!! LOL !!

Make a twist toward tightening first then back off back and forth as custom 76 stated earlier. Lots of time there's room to go forward to get the bolt unstuck because the buildup has accumulated on the outer threads.

between an acetylene torch and pb blaster you should be able to get anything out..
