Big%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smileRay..............THANK YOU for the link that you provided. I WAS HIGHLY ENLIGHTENED by all the info. I had many of the big blocks listed. My first car had a 348, solid lifter, tri power. I also had the 425hp 396 in a 65 vette. I then graduated to a 66 vette with the 427, 450hp. Most people never believed me when I mention the 450hp.........it was on the window sticker and dealer invoice papers. The air cleaner said TuboJet 427/425HP. A lot of information presented,Smile on the link was unknown to me...........thanks again, you made my day! Big%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smilecorvette440hp2008-03-22 09:34:02

Yes, great link. All good info.

So am I correct that displacement is the deciding factor?
383 cu in and less = SB
396 and larger = BB

Or can you have a 350 engine bored and stroked larger that 383?
