I agree a 400 is a powerful engine.. but ive always had heat problems running them anything but bone stock..

Since I'm considering one...why is that Ben?

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
All very true. It's not the choice for racing. It can be very satisfying for a street car. The overheating can be controlled, but is a bit more difficult. Not worse than our big blocks. Again, unless of course you are racing.
The longer stroke does cut high end a bit, but that's exactly what you have when you build a 383 stroker. It uses a 400 crank.

Leave the SB in. Get another vette that needs some work or one with out the engine. Then get to work. |cheers|
