For the #1 & #3 and the #2 & #4 plug wires, do they run from the plugs to the 2-wire loom clip between the motor mount and block then down to the oil pan plug clip? Or do they sneak around the motor mount. vetteish 38636.7148148148

They run through the mount and the engine block. Have fun sneaking them through. Pain in the butt. I did mine that way. It took awhile, but I think it looks a lot cleaner. Plus they aren't flopping around in the wind.
And since my '81 isn't NCRS I added some black high temp plastic (corrigated) conduit around my plug wires for added heat and chaffing protection. Just like you see on the new cars. Looks decent.

Mine is a 72, so they go down through the motor mount, then through the "V" shaped sheilding, then through the little dinky 2 wire clip on the oil pan, then back up through the V thingy to the 4 wire clip and then through the other sheilding to the distrib. At least that's what I remember...lol. I'll look again if nobody else chimes in. It's an engineer's dream this crazy setup. I like the idea of the sheilded BB wires myself.

They do go behind the mount. You can losen the mount & raise the engine up, or you can pull the boots off the wires and snake them behind the mount that way. Either way is a pain. I pulled my engine out to put my new ones on!!

Thanks to all for their replies. It seemed to route through the mounts but wasn't sure. Yes, seems to be a major pain to do this but I want this to be as close to original as possible.
