sounds like electrical somewhere. Maybe linkages and switches, wiring moving around clutch linkages and shift linkages? I'd be checking all the wiring to switches near the switch linkages and clutch arms.

have you ever seen that movie gremlins ?
thats my best guess..
thats really strange.. and it only does it in third.
i cant imagine what wire might be getting interfered with only in third gear..
in fact im having a hard time thinking of any wire that would kill the car with clutching or shifting.
definitely weird.
if you let the clutch back out will it roll start ?

did you re-gear the tranny? maybe it has a really high gear in it by accident. otherwise gremlins!!! Or it could be a loose wire somewhere.

it stalls when i put clutch in to downshift coming to light or turn , if i put it in neutral and keep rpm's up then it does not stall and yes i can let the clutch out again and pop the clutch and she restarts without any hesitation or sputter.
It sounds like the engine is slowing down too quickly. This will make it stall. There are a couple of things to look for, depending on the set up you have.
1. If base idle is too low, it will do this.
2. If you have a dashpot, it is not working or mis adjusted. A dashpot is a spring or vacuum loaded device that hold the idle up for a couple of seconds, then lets it down to idle when the gas pedal is released. This prevents the stall.
3. You have an anti diesel solenoid set up wrong or inoperative. This is a silenoid that kicks up the idle as soon as the car is started. When the key is shut off, it drops idle to help prevent dieseling. If it's bad or not adjusted correctly, the idle is too low and the car will stall.
Dont' confuse an anti dieseling solenoid with an A/C idle kicker. This increases idle to compensate for extra load from the A/C, and only in turned on when the A/C is on.
Let me know what you find. Perhaps I can help some more.
