Got the engine swap started this past weekend up at a friend's shop in Knoxville.

Found a couple of things that needed to be fixed before the new engine goes in.
Will be headed back up to Knoxville this weekend to finish up and hopefully bring the OLD GIRL home.

When she gets home , she will be heading out for NEW clothes!
Hubby has promised that the base coat/clear coat will be done by the 1st of April!

I feel like that too....been waiting for so long for this!! well not the engine..that has been 5 months...but the paint has been 2 1/2 years!!!
A long time for me too. The shop had the engine (427) for over a year. It seemed for a while everyone I knew neede work done and I couldn't make time for mine. I finally started saying NO. my turn now! Good luck with your Diva!

I suppose I need to set up a link ( recruit the neighbor to help) so I can show you guys some pictures of the car. I'll try to do that after the paint project this weekend. I'll be up all night Friday wet sanding.
I'm using Standox gase clear, I'm told Sikens doesn't have 2 stage anymore. I'm told the Standox is an excellent product though.
