I have the Performer 2101.
Jim, are you sure you have the plain Performer intake and not a Performer RPM or Performer Air-Gap? With that LT1 hood you would have room for one of those taller intakes. Rodney, My cam is a hyd flat tappet. Roller cam is the way to go if you can afford the extra bucks. It would free up some poneys for sure, but i still think that intake would be restricting. Small blocks make a lot of power if you build them right. My 406 is pushing over 500/500 and runs on pump gas!!

Were in each others neighborhood. A good friend of mine has a 383 he just pulled froom his box nova. He was pulling mid-12s. The motor is frsh and I think he still has it up for sale. Its a great street motor.
