Jim, are you sure you have the plain Performer intake and not a Performer RPM or Performer Air-Gap? With that LT1 hood you would have room for one of those taller intakes.
Rodney,  My cam is a hyd flat tappet. Roller cam is the way to go if you can afford the extra bucks. It would free up some poneys for sure, but i still think that intake would be restricting. I could be wrong. [/QUOTE]

I have the Performer 2101.

Jees Louise! What else you got under there makin that kind of hp? Cam, heads, carb, etc? I'd really like to know what combination you have to get that power.

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Years ago when I was a teenager my Granddad said to me " It's not what you know it's who you know"  it took me along time to realize what that really meant and since I allready new everything at the time I didn't listen but I did remember what he said and how he gripped my arm real tight when he did.

Rich, I'll remember you if and when I need to upgrade my powerplant. Hopefully not in the NEAR future, as I have enough going on right now!

Small blocks make a lot of power if you build them right. My 406 is pushing over 500/500 and runs on pump gas!!
