There was a disscussion about this some time back,kind of split down the middle,synthetic has a way of finding its way through older engine seals it cleans them up so good that they leak.I wouldn't use it on my engine,77k,no problem with new ones.just my $.02

I agree with Ron. Rear and front main seals are notorious for developing a drip when you switch...stick with a good brand of oil and change every 2-3K or 3-6 months, depeding on how much you drive the car. Use a quality filter too!

I hate to do it...
but I disagree.. I'd try the synthetic... it doesnt always leak..
an engine with 80k can be barely broken in or ragged completely out..
depends on how it was driven and maintained..
if it leaks.. switch back.. but it is definitely worth a try.
