In my humble opinion:
Joel is absolutely right. If the problem is in the valves, you wouldn't be pressurizing the crankcase and valve covers. The only way for that to happen is past a piston, either the rings or a hole in the top.

Here's the pics of Scott's head, and pistons...ya'll take a look, and see if ya'll see something. I think he's gonna be looking at a broken ring land under the top ring, but won't know until he gets the piston popped out of the block. He's out of town for a week, so he'll get the rest of the scoop when he returns...

Looks like we have a square port intake on oval port heads..doubt that that is the problem, but it's about the only thing I've seen at this point, that is out of place...Adams' Apple 2008-03-09 18:13:25
