I have used electric fan from Autozone. It has straps that go through the rad which caused it to start leaking so I took it out. I am working on making a frame to mount it to instead. It did a good job for sitting in traffic on 90*F+ days.

Just installed a FlexALite after a clutch fan calamity. Hasn't been in summer gridlock traffic yet, but performance under all other conditions has been fine. Can't comment on noise, because I run a gear drive instead of a timing chain, so there's a fair amount of machinery noise in my engine house at all times.
