I have a stock tuned-port in my 69 and just put the K&N on the front of the throttle body. I am running it as speed-density (no mass-air-flow sensor). Is there anyone out there who has done this swap figured out how to get better/colder air? I am running dual electric fans so fan-shroud clearance is not as big an issue. I think it would run even better than it does if it didn't have to breathe all that hot air off the radiator. For what it's worth, I am running the 1990 serpentine belt system with an air-pump eliminator from Breathless Performance. I also do have A/C.

Vette(s): White 73 convertible - 350/auto, A/C PS, PB, PW, leather, t/t, two tops Also had a 69 t-top 20 years ago
There was someone who cut a notch in their radiator support to allow a late model vette over-the-radiator intake to fit. He didn't have to cut the radiator. I wish I remember who it was. Joe

Since I posted this, I saw a photo of one of those that someone had on the corvettefaq.com site on an LS1 conversion. I have A/C and he didn't. He also says that the hood won't fully open now. It looked like a neat swap until I saw that. I want my hood to open. Thanks for your reply, I was worried that nobody was going to.
