I just developed a small oil leak at the intake manifold. Oil seems to be leaking up onto the intake manifold on the right side by the fourth bolt from the front of the engine between the egr valve and stainless tubes. I've attempted to tighten the bolt but cannot get a wrench or socket on it flush enough to get a good grip of the bolt. Is it necessary to remove the carb to get a better angle on the bolt??

Very Common. Those center bolts are exposed to oil in the lifter valley.

Remove the bolt and clean everything with brake cleander or acetone. You will want to clean out the bolt hole as well to try and remove all traces of oil. Try not to get it down inside the engine.

Then get Permatex Ultra Black gasket Sealer. Put a small amount in the hole, but more importantly lube up the bolt in the gasket sealer. You want enough on the bolt so it will ooze out around the head of the bolt when you tighten it down. After its back in wipe off any exess with out any chemicals. Wait 10 minutes then you can use some acetone on a rap to wipe off any residue.

That should fix it.
