Just finished installing a Road Demon carb on my L48. It has 2 vacuum ports and I'm not sure which one to hook up the vacuum advance to. One is ported or timed that occurs with throttle opening and the other is direct manifold vacuum for distributors that use manifold vacuum for advance. I think it would be the ported, but am not positive. Any advice???

use the ported slot.
The ported is closed, so no advance at idle.
Then it gets vacuum as the throttle is opened, so advance comes in.
At wide open throttle, you lose manifold vacuum and therfore lose ported vacuum, and then lose timing advance. This is exactly what you want. Timing should reduce at WOT, dispite what most believe.

Thanks a lot, guys. I thought it was the ported but just wanted to make sure. Thanks again.
