Can anybody tell me what the various sizes (inner/outer diameter) of the
engine compartment vacuum hoses are? I can't seem to find this info
anywhere, and I need to replace at least one very small diameter hose (the
one that goes from under the dash, through the firewall, to the hot water
valve). And I'm sure that once I start replacing, I'll probably end up doing
more than just the one...(you guys can identify with that idea--right??)

I don't need headlight hose size; fortunately, those are currently working,
and ultimately I'll get a kit to replace them all when the budget allows.

So any help with this data will be appreciated. Worst case, I can snip a
piece off and take it to the parts store. But I'd rather go in knowing what I
need in advance.

he has "correct" kits available at a reasonable price.

Take Ben's advice, the Doc has the right kits and the diagrams to go with them. I don't think they're all that pricey. You could probably even call (do not use the 800 #)and Debbie will help you get just the one hose you need.
