Good luck on your project.

Fine looking car you have there. On the exhaust, do you recommend any type in particular? Buy it through mailorder? Can one have headers without side pipes? I appreciate your advice, thanks.

Well I recommend the headers and everything new all the way back. Get ceramic coated headers and a 2 1/2 inch exhaust. I have Flowmasters on mine and love them. Of course that is up to the individual and his/her sound preference
Yes you can put headers on and have it run the original route. I've purchased many things via mailorder and no problems

I'd reccomend Hooker Headers, Sidemounts look the best IMHO http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/ES/ESHHSCH/Sidemnt.html Not sure what is on my 75 exactly, but it has more go fast than other 75's I've driven. http://www.holley.com has a lot of goodies, and they'll anodize, chrome or powder coat most anything. Want a blue carb....they can do it.. LOL Anyway, check 'em out.

Andy

Do you relize that everything you change on your car will decrease the value of it? If you can get a build sheet for your car it will be worth a small fortune. If you want HP and chrome get a car that has been modifyed and already has already been modifyed. There is a car in the local papaer a 75 with 600HP foe $11,500.00. If you want Hp I'll send you the add. If your car is totally original Its original cost was somewhere around 14K. Right now with 30K on it and if its in good condition its value is $18-22K. If you have documentation maybe as much as $24-30K.

Now I'm not a purest, if the car is not original or if it has lots of miles and needs restoration, the cost to get where you are would be outrages. So why not go for the Hp and chrome, but to have an original car with 30K, bank it.

Thanks Glenn

I'm with Glenn as it sounds like you have a car worth keeping as close to original as you can. Go ahead and dress it up a little bit with some chrome touches if you want to, but I think you'll be happier down the road that you didn't make any radical changes to it. Save the "hod-rodding" for the next "project car", then you'll have the best of both worlds in the driveway.
