I'm using it, and can see a significant difference. It's a 77 vette, L48 stock, new radiator, water pump, 180 thermo, new fan clutch. Before the changes, it ran at 210-220 degrees. I put in the water wetter and it dropped to about 200. Now with the other changes, it runs about 180-190. A good investment. |smile|

I also tried water wetter in a 76 L82. It was running on the highway around 220 even when it was cool out. Only brought the temp. down about 5 degrees. Had to go the route of a new radiator and hi flow thermosat. |ohwell| |ohwell| |ohwell|

I have nothing against Water Wetter on a personal level, but if you're using it to address a chronic overheating problem, that's a bandaid fix and the results are usually going to be marginal. It's always a better, and more expensive, approach when you address the shortcomings of your system. A good clean (inside and out) correctly-sized radiator, clean water jacket, good pump, correctly tensioned belts, correct and sealed shrouds, proper fan, and a well-tuned engine are critical to ensuring you don't have cooling system problems.

On smallblock cars, these cooling systems have sufficient margin built into the system that you shouldn't have any cooling problems in normal operation.
