Hi Joanne, this is Flandy or Phil, the headers that I put on my 68 427 car are Hedman ceramic coated tubes. The fit was great, and with the coated pipes, you can just brush any little amounts of rust off with a 3-M woven abrasive pad, like 180 grit. the shine staus there if you aren't too aggresive with the pressure. Hope this helps-Phil
Joanne
I put 1 5/8" Hookers with Jet Hot coating on mine. Fits good, sounds great, looks good and it did cut down on some of the heat.

hey Joanne,I have heddman headers,I would recommend that you get the ceramic coated ones, and also get the bolt kit,the ones that do not vibrate loose,,good luck,,rd

I was just reading a thread the other day where more than one user was very happy with Sanderson's quality and construction design. Sounded very convincing.

ZZ4/350 with Sanderson stainless ceramic coated, block huggers into side exhaust, they look like new after 9000 miles to Tennessee and back. Not one lose bolt.. I'm very happy with the headers..

P.S. I also used the locking bolt kit..

I'd love to install Sanderson headers, because of the reviews and reports.
BUT . . . I could not find BBC headers for SIDEPIPES on their site.
When I do install headers, they must be the ones that fit sidepipes. Guess Sanderson folks don't make them to fit C3s. I might have to go with Hooker.

Regardless, sounds like ceramic coating is the way to go.
Mike, I have them on my C-3 with side exhaust??

I know there should be lotsa comments on likes /dislikes of headers. I've ran 2 sets now on mine. Heddman which the set I had didn't fit well upon the 1st installation. I had them out 3 times before I finally got them bent to shape.
I had the same results from Heddman on a Chevy 4WD split 6 cyl. truck that I put them on so obviously they won't get my vote... (sorry guys it is what it is...)
I now have Flow Tech ceramic coated. They fit real nice (1 time in.) and bolted up to my exisiting pipes. (Although I did change collectors, gaskets, bolts, etc.) Price was more than reasonable and Auto Zone had them in the store in 2 days.
I had the old headers off and the Flow Tech's on and back off of the lift in about 3 hrs. start to finish.
