Having issues with motor refit....had major vacuum leak with edelbrock performer rpm intake and on top of that after some research that intake will not fit under hood.
What intake would yall recommend to fit under stock 81 hood using a edelbrock 600cfm carb
thanks

I know this isn't an answer, but call Jegs. Customer service is great. They'll know what will fit and what won't. They'll also hook you up with a low profile cleaner that will help with hood clearance.

I've got a Cyclone Plus dual plane intake with a Holley Street Avenger 770-cfm carb on top. Everything fits fine.

i have a 79 they say all kinds of intakes won't fit. i have an R.P.M air gap with a quick fuel 750 with a 1/2 in spacer with a dropped base filter under the stock hood. i don't know how much difference there is in those hoods.
