Give up?!?!?!Wacko I had a service called Harrison Speedpmeter recalibrate my 79 oil pressure gauge to reach 100 PSI. This guy did awesome work and stands behind it. And his prices are excellent!

For anyone interested, here is his info: www.harrisonspeedometer.com - ask for Bill Harrison - great guy to deal with and very personable.

Regards y'all,

Paul

Is the gage stuck at 40 psi or am I missing something?

And will you be pumping more than 80 psi?

Yeah me to. I've either have a bad sending unit or guage. I got a new sendingunit at autozone and I have an NOS guage back there in all my parts.

Dave, what you're missing is that the gauge is out of the car sitting on a counter top. Wacko  No juice, no readingWink The new motor/pump will be pushing in the range of 80 PSI so I wanted some cushion in the gauge....Lamp

Sorry, I thought with no signal it would read zero.
So is the sending unit output plus and minus voltage with zero = mid range of the gage?
I was expecting the output to be zero to 10 volts = zero to 100 psi.

Dunno - I imagine that an electrical gauge will only register a reading when current exists.Geek   I guess without starting the car and the key in the run psn, it should read zero....

And I hope I never see it reading zero with the engine running!!!!LOL

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Once it has power and ground, it will read zero.  No problem.
