I finally found a local auto store to test my module and that tested ok. I took my coil to auto zone and tested a new one to compare to my coil and that too seemed to be ok too. Now what. A mechanic said to check to see if i was getting voltages from the pickup, which I wasn't sure how to crank the engine with the distributer all apart. So i decided to put everything back together and maybe get a complete new dist. Yearone was advertizing a Hei dist in corvette fever for $139.00. After putting everything back I cranked the engine over and it started right up. I'm thinking all it was paossibly a loose wire. I'll probably still get a new dist because the plastic connections were all in bad shape including the wiring, but at least I can take it out for a ride today, great weather today here in new York

check out http//www.performancedistributors.com/ you get what you pay for, alot of this stuff is made in china, P.D. hand build it and curve it to your car specs right here in the usa, coarse it is more money, about 279.00 for the elec. tack street model, check it out, you can also get the distributor connection pig tails from them and you can soldier them on to a good section of wire if you don't have the jack to buy a dist. right now. anips 2009-07-19 12:11:07

Tony, I have a nearly new HEI billet dist and a very reliable MSD Dist. on the shelf. Before you shell out any smackers for a new one, shoot me a not if interested. It'll save you some $...
