There are a couple of options here:

1) Tell wife '02 Vette is hers, she won't have problem with it then;
2) Get rid of wife...no issues with two Vettes then (if you can afford any toys after expensive divorce);
3) Get rid of motorcycles;
4) Build bigger garage.

Problem solved!
Sometimes life has a way of taking a strange twist:

Point In Case:

I mentioned selling Tux not to long ago to my wife. (Had another vette plan in mind) She sayz to me "Don't even think about sellin that car!"

(Where in Godz name did that come from?) "Why not Honey?"

"Well you know the white car iz nice but... I like to ride in the old car too. And you know people always have somethin ta say about it when we take it out for a spin..."

"But ya can sell that red thing" (the C4)

"Okay babe Love you too...."

man I love the way she thinkz

Ps..... the red carz gone an I'm a lookin....

Go with Gunslinger's last reply.  I have a '69 (she gets excellent care) and a 2000 C5, but I like to drive the C3 and listen to her engine. Big%20smile

Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Convertible. 350/350HP engine, power steering, 4 speed, burgundy exterior, black interior, black top, stainless steel brakes and optional hardtop. Rally wheels.
Well, it seems that the accumulated wisdom on here says NOT to sell the 69.  I did find an 01 Coupe Staurday at a local dealer that's really nice with only 30K miles and am giving serious thought to makeing it my second Vette.  Anyway, thanks for the thoughts on this.

any one here would agree that you 69 is no comparison in comfort and drivability than any C5. However , there is no comparision to the thrill you get when driving the `69. never mind the attention. there were less than 200k bumber cars made.  keep her if you can and buy the c5 .

 I did and gave it to my wife to drive, so I have the best of both worlds.

Vette(s): 1981 - 59 Beige over Cinnebar leather. Edlebrock top end, 2200 stall w/shift kit, 3:55s, Mufflex maniback exhaust, nice stereo, 16 in AREs w/BFGs
Hres my perspective, If this was MY 69, no way would it sell for a c4, c5, c6.  HOWEVER, there is an issue to be addressed that was not mentioned.  Some folks dont have the stomach for an old car.  By that I mean they dont have the capitol to make needed repairs, nor the time nor the ptience which makes ownership a drag for them.  I see it often.  Me, I owned italian cars, I think that said it all...

I'm not a good one to comment - but I will anyway!

I have to agree with the common theme of the responses you've gotten so far.  You would regret selling the '69 even before it got out of sight.  AND you most likely would not be able to buy back into another one for the same price.

The arrival of "The Toy" was originally met with something less than enthusiastic by my bride, especially since it displaced her daily driver from our single car garage.  She was in favor of adding "BIGBBRD" to the family fleet which included adding a 2+ car addition to the garage (a win-win in my book as she got a car she wanted and I got a great garage space addition!).  And since she was the driving force behind getting "The Beast" the most common question now is "how are we going to park 4 cars in a 3 car space?".  My point is to get, and keep, your spouse/SO involved in the process.  You'll be surprised how much easier it is to spend money WITH their buy-in.

Harry...parking space for a C5 is not an issue...they LOVE the outdoors!
I have to go along with the group on this one...don't get rid of the '69...ever! You'll not likely ever find another one like it if you decide(read: REALIZE!) you made a mistake. And yeah...asking this question HERE?...What were you thinking?!?

Lots of us here have two or more Corvettes...com'on, join the club!!
