First of all I bought this car in 2000 for $5500 dollars and spent a additional $4500 for a grand total of 10k, this is NOT a numbers matching car and never will be, I bought it to build it for racing but also keep all original looks there. I have drove this car a total of around 5k miles, it now has 102k on it. I have a steeroids rack and pinion conversion installed, rear 360lb fiberglass monospring, all new shocks, I rebuilt the trailing arms and rear suspension with new bushings, rebuilt the front suspension with brand new springs, roll bar all bushings, brakes and wheelbearings. It is the stock engine and TH350 transmission in it, runs great, shifts perfect, obviously brakes and suspension are perfect. I have tons of extra parts included brand new are a complete rearend rebuild kit with 3.53 rearend gears (does not need to be rebuilt but I was going to since I got lower rearend gears), HD rear end cover, extra set of ttops from a 1973, tons of trim and interior parts (all extras), it has stock rallye rims on it now with trim rings. It is not registered and needs a alignment (I just redid all the suspension), it will NOT pass smog in CA because there are no CATs on the exhaust, I have the spar tire carrier in excellent condition, I am really sad to see it go.
Has been a project car, have to buy a c4, it will go cheap.
1977 L48 corvette, auto, black leather interior, black exterior, runs great, shifts great, looks good, needs little TLC, here is what I did so far:
ALL COMPONENTS LISTED BELOW ARE NEW:
Front suspension, new springs, shocks, bigger 1 1/8 anti-roll bar, ball joints, all new bushings(poly), new brakes and rotors, new wheel bearings also STEEROIDS rack and pinion conversion installed.
Rear Suspension, FIBER 360 LB monospring installed, new rearend gears installed 3.08s, all new bushings (poly), wheel bearings, brakes, lowering bolts on composite spring.
It has the original rallye rims now and trim rings and center caps. (used but good condition), Brand new tires 255-60r15 Runs and drives, reliable no problems, I need to alighn it and re-register it, also header, dual
Awesome thanks, it really is a good deal, I have spent 9300 total on this car including purchase price plus countless hours of labor, it also comes with tons of extra parts, extra ttops, interior stuff, etc. Also it has this custom (I dislike it though) FLAME JOB on it:
Sounds like a good deal. Is the price of this Corvette 5K? If it is put me in line for getting it!
Eric
I hate to sell it, your all the way in IL??? This corvette is in CA.
You take it get it registered aligned, etc. It comes with a truckload of parts also. This is making me sad, I don't really want to sell it for 5k, I should hold on to it longer sh*t.... um I am still undecided, there is a local guy with cash ready to buy it, but I told him to hold off because forum people got 1st choice. Here are things wrong with this corvette: There is no carpet behind seats, the compartment doors need to be redone, the front urethane bumper got pushed back and cracked the front wrap (like a 2 inch long small crack in paint), the rear quarter panel has a 3 inch crack in it also (barely noticable), the parking brake internals where removed awaiting new parts, it needs new plastics for the center console, the old ones are kinda scratched, also the drivers door is sagging and it hit the body when closing and scuffed some paint off, I readjusted it now. The flames and somebody cut some slats into hood to make it look like a trans-am before I bought it (lame). It needs alighnment (did all suspension work and did not put shims back in front suspension), it will not pass smog as there is no smog equipment on it. AND FOR THE GOOD STUFF:
All new weatherstripping, no leaks, engine runs good and doesnt use any oil, transmission shifts good, has all new suspension and bushings, there is virtually NO RUST and the frame is in REALLY REALLY GOOD shape, it has a new gas tank, it has new ujoints etc, it has steeroids, it has all new brakes, it has headers and dual exhaust, turbo mufflers (only half way back though), it has brand new tires. I really really want to get at least 6k out of it, come on the steeroids is worth a 1000 and I didnt even get to drive it to find out how cool it is!
Eric, email or call me at 7076165352 if your still interested for 6k, dude you could sell all the spare parts that come with it and get 1000 easy. boycelaforest@aldatas.com
