I Know of a guy trying to sell his 1981 Vette. He's moving across country and he's up in years.

32,000 original miles, 4 speed ( kinda rare ).

After market wheels w/ new tires.

not from California originaly, no smog stuff.

Hey, I'm sorry gang. I don't get to spend a lot of time on line and I didn't notice the way back to this thread.Please forgive me for the lapse of time.The paint scheme was silver and so was the interior.I've forgotten wether it was fitted with a/c.I saw the car last in late '05 but I see the owner regularly.He says he fired it up for the 1st time in a long while recently. He asked me to come along for a test drive 'cause he wanted to show me how fast it was,but I'm sure it's still stock(The L81 has a lightened frame and tubular lightweight exaust manifolds. similar in HP to the L82) I have the same car, same color, so I didn't accept his offer. Can't afford another one.He still has it but I believe he is making plans to move to N. Arkansas in a couple of months...... And yes, I believe he is about 75 yrs. young but he doesn't drive the car because his wife won't ride in it... Go figure!!!

A friend told me that the price on the L81 has come down to 10,000 or will trade for a pickup .     Lord, Please don't ever let me get that old.
