I'm haivng to rebuild the washer system for my 1970 vette...and I noticed that it's one of the vettes that had the headlight washer system.  In order to get that working again, I need a proper washer pump...a 5-port to attach that hoses that run up to the headlight washer nozzles.  I've looked on corvetteamerica and all I could find was the 3-port, I've talked to GM and all they have is the 3-port, and I'm about to check Ecklers but I'm not too hopeful.  Is there a way any of you guys could help me get ahold of a 5 port washer pump so I can get this system working properly again?

The Last Detail parts catalog lists the washer pump for $45.00. Their part number is 706384 and web address is www.AtlantaCorvette.com.

Corvette Central, Ecklers and others may have it as well.

Ecklers and Corvette America both only have the 3 port pump.  I'll check Corvette Central, and what is Last Detail? oy never mind the question.CorvetteRacer197038394.7917708333

I see the washer pump listed on the Last Detail, but it gives no information about it.  Are you sure it's a 5-port?  I may have to call and see.

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
From what I can tell the 5 port is the hardest part to find on our year.  There was a post a while back where some one found one on e bay and they also listed a place that would or had rebuilt one. If I remember our little 5 port dohicky is pricey.

if not, a friend of mine has an idea on how I might be able to get the headlight washers to work with a 3 port.  but we'll see when we come to that, I'm gonna check on that post.

When the five port would stop working they would usally put on a 3 port. This is what mine had before I found a 5 port. All you have to do is get a T fitting. On a 3 port you have 1 large port for water intake and 2 small ports for water to exit. Get 2 short hoses about 3 inches long and put them on the 3 small ports. Then put the two T fittings on put the hoses. From there you now have the 5 ports you  need. Two for the wipers and two for the lights. It will work the same way as the true 5 port. When you wash the windshield you will also be washing the low beam headlights. There is no way to do them independedly.
