You're right Larry. She is a nice one. I really like the color. I might be interested if it were a 4 speed.

Hey!!! My TWIN!!(paternal)
Except it has da rong door panels, and steering wheel...and transmission. No ign shielding($$$) That car is in da Corvette Trader for $25,000...a bit steep for the market.
btw...that is NOT 40th anni color...it is the factory Medium Red Metallic...same as mine. The 40th anni is a lot darker color. Now, the 50th anni color is a closer match.
I shur wood lak tuh hab a convert twin fer muh car, doh...

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
Yeah, but check out this one!  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290099808241&rd=1&rd=1

I watched this one just to see what it would sell for.  Honestly, since I found mine (over a year ago), this is the only one I've seen that had as much or more of what I wanted - and I paid considerably less for mine!  But this still looked like it would have been very nice!  All paperwork and an original hard top...

In all of the looking that I did/have done for 74 Convertibles, I've only come across 3 or 4 454 convertibles with a factory four speed.  I seem to recall seeing that just over 300 were made, but I didn't think they kept records to that effect.  If they did, how do you find them?  I know I have two very common options missing from my car - tilt/tele and power steering.  It would be interesting to see how many were made without those and with L82 4 speed, etc...

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

"...and Whitewall Tires with proper stainless wheel covers."

Oh, REALLY?

'74s did NOT have the PO2 wheel covers...ever...from da factory. The only wheels available in '74 were the Rallies. You would think a fancy shmancy place like that would know these things...

In that picture of the wire hanging down on the exhaust.... looked like the plug for his A/C compressor... wonder what that's doing down there Disapprove  I guess that doesn't work too well and we all know how much work repairing that is... 2 cruzn2007-04-08 19:08:02
