Vette(s): 1969 convertible L71 427/435 4-speed black interior
After a lot of thought I've decided to put my '78 Silver Anniversary up for adoption. I have too many projects going on and something needs to go, though if it doesn't sell, I'll keep it and continue to enjoy it as I can. Essentially I'd rather sell it to someone who will enjoy it rather than let it sit.

It has the original L82 and automatic transmission, power windows, cruise control, Alpine stereo/CD player installed with Boston Acoustic speakers in the back, factory speakers up front. The clock has a quartz movement and works beautifully.

The mileage shows nearly 71K, but it actually has slightly over 50K due to a speedometer swap. The car was originally a Canadian car and I installed a MPH speedometer after purchasing the car.

The interior was originally an Oyster leather and cloth combination...now it's all leather and matching door panels in the proper Oyster. All weather stripping has been replaced, including on the T-Tops. Carpeting is replaced as well.

I would rate the interior as at least 9.5 out of 10 and the body and paint a solid 8.5 or better out of 10. It looks never to have been hit, damaged or abused in any way. The aluminum wheels are excellent...no scratches or damage from scraping curbs. I have all maintenace records since I've owned the car. The tires are like new BFG Radial T/A's.

This is one of the nicest running cars I've ever owned...strong and responsive. It has an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and the original Q-Jet has been professionally rebuilt. The HEI distributor has a Pertronix coil and module, cap and rotor.

The car has Delco replacement shocks, a TRW single leaf rear spring and true dual exhaust system...no cat to worry about. It also has a new master cylinder and recent power steering pump installed.

I'm going to list the car on Ebay as well, just haven't done so yet. I live about an hour from Carlisle, and can deliver the car there next weekend during the Corvettes at Carlisle days.

While the car probably won't win a first place trophy next to a restored car, it's a car you won't have to make any excuses for. It really needs little or nothing as it is. It's a great driving car...it just needs someone to drive it more than I've been able to.

I plan on advertising the car at $22K, but that's negotiable...especially to a member here looking for a really nice car.

Anyone interested can send me a personal message and we can talk...I have photos to send.
