I bought a Delco am/fm/cb off of Ebay a few months back and changed my mind about putting it in my 79. If anyone is interested I will let it go for what I paid....$65.00 plus shipping.
The catch is I have no idea if it works. Mine is missing the original harness and I don't feel like shelling out the bucks for one. I can tell you it is pretty clean for its age,the coil cord has no cracks or anything. You would also need the clip that mounts on the dash for the mouthpiece.
If anyone is interested gimmi an email.

Dano,
Is the am/fm/cb setup that also has a cassett tape player?
What type of wireing harness would I need if I bought this from you? I know I would need a different antenna as i think the cb is useing the am/fm antenna also. I think this could be gotten from some supplier such as Zip oe Ecklers on maybe GM, but what is the wireing harness differences you mentioned?
E-Mail me @ johnbigblock@AOL.COM if you still have this.
Thanks,

To be honest with you I am not sure if the harness for the am/fm/cb would be any different than just the am/fm one. When I bought the Vette it already had an aftermarket stereo in it and the original harness had been cut up. As far as the casette no it doesn't have one. The antenna is about $150.00 from just about anywhere I think. That's pretty much what changed my mind about putting it in. If you had the am/fm/cb in your car originaly it might be worth your time but I'm not sure you would want to mess with it. I do know that the am/fm/cb runs about $250.00 from Zip. But once again I can't promise this one work's so I would hate for you to spend the money on the other stuff to find out the radio doesn't work.
Let me know....Dano |smile|

Dano,
Thanks for being upfront regarding the condition of the radio/cb combo. I am looking for the combo that also has a cassett player also, I think it was a option on the 79 & 80 models (maybe others could shed some light on this). My wireing harness is intact, I'm sure I would need the antenna as I remember seeing the cb setup including the special antenna. Right now I have the 8-Tract AM/FM Stereo factory setup as originally installed from the factory. It works OK, it's pretty cool if you are into nostalgic things. I really want the cassett setup if I can find one.
