I am now in need of a starter interlock relay for the '74. I know some of youse guys have modified your cars, and are not interested in being 100% "factory correct". If this is the case with you, would you be interested in getting rid of your starter interlock relay, for a fee? Most of the systems don't work anyway, and the only thing that has to be done to override it is to unplug the seat switches. However, my system does work, and I would like to keep it that way. The only issue with my relay is the aluminuminum cover has fallen off, so there is just a nekked relay there now.
If anyone has a relay they would give up for a bud(and some $$), let me know!
Thanx!

Thanx, Dave!

This part is a '74 only item, with the exception of some very early '75s. This system/relay was used on ALL Chevys in '74, so it will be on Caprices, Impalas, Novas, etc.

Stingrayjim...I'm trying to return yer call(s)...haven't gotten thru yet...

Joel,

I don't mind not original and I have already unplug that thing under the driver seat (it was driving me crazy...).

However, it's sometimes difficult to tell what's original and what's not on my car.  Here's 4 pictures.  Let me know if it could be "the one".

Notice that the p/o unscrewed it from the f/w and doesn't have the retaining block.  Just the relay.

Thanx, Norbert!

Stephane, what you are showing is the high speed blower relay...not what I'm looking for. I do see where the orange block was on the firewall, tho. Looks like you car has been "de-safetied". Thanx for lookin, anyway...ya never know!

Hey, Joel.  Didn't really know where that part was, but after seeing the pictures, I checked.  Guess what, I found it and it looks in good shape.  The aluminum cover has a rubber-covered switch that is marked "start".  Removed it, and started the car to make sure I could.  PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
