I've decided I want a chrome-bumper convertible and will sell my '80. This is a very well-maintained, original-paint "Survivor" candidate, that has had some mechanical modifications to make it a great driver. I have all the original parts, including tires and mufflers, except for the water pump (it leaked), sitting in my attic in good shape. This car could be made "correct" with a minimum of effort. Here is a list of options:
o Rare 4 speed
o Power windows
o AC (blows ice cold)
o 3.08 Rear end (probably standard)
o Tilt telescopic steering
o Aluminum wheels
o AM/FM Cassette with power antenna (currently has Blaupunct CD player)
o Rear defogger
o T-Top carrier
o 42,000 original miles
o All original documentation and repair receipts since new.
The engine and suspension has been modified to make this car an excellent driver. All original parts (except the water pump, it leaked) are sitting in my attic. Upgrades include:
o Comp Cams 268H with new lifters and valve springs
o Edelbrock Performer manifold
o Dynomax ceramic headers
o High flow cat and mufflers
o Flexfan 210 electric fans
o Vette Brakes performance suspension package that includes new springs front and rear, anti-sway bars front and rear, Bilstein shocks, polygraphite control arm bushings, VB rear strut rods w/polygraphite, VB shock tower spreader bar
o Hurst Competition shifter
o Proform distributor kit and Crane Cams adjustable vac. advance and recurve kit.
This car runs and drives great! Why buy something cheaper that's going to need work? This car needs NOTHING! See the link in my sig for pictures.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
That is one good lookin 80. I don't think you will have any trouble selling it.
