Vette(s): Coupe 74 - 454 Drive it like you stole it!

Now that I relocated to Canada (and it was a pain to get the Vette across) and that the Vette will not see day light from November to March, the good news is that I will have plenty of time for big projects (and I have quite a big list).

The bad news is trying to get parts at a decent price over here.
I found a few parts house in BC, but I'm on the East side (Montreal).

There should be some big ones in Ontario, but my search hasn't been too good so far.

I know all the big ones (Bairs, Ecklers, Summit, Corvette America...) all ship to Canada, but you have to add a lot more shipping charges, plus taxes (15% over here) + customs.  Customs is anybody's guess, it could be up to 25% sometimes.   So you see that even if Ecklers says "no problem; I can ship it..."  it doesn't matter; when I pickup, I pay on delivery an extra 20 to 40%.

SO, I am looking for a Canadian warehouse of C3 parts.  This winter, I will go for either the suspension or redo the whole interior.

Any idea on Canadian suppliers ?

74-454 I did get a quote from a Interior supply company from the East they were NOS Reproductions. They seemed a little high price wise but were quick and very eager to answer my questions. Hope this helps and welcome back to the Great White North. You also probably tried Corvette Specialties in Surrey/Vancouver already. They are very knowledgable and have a few C3's that they have restored quite nicely.

Corvette Specialties in Canadia, as Trevor mentioned!

I found several businesses with the same name, but this is the one in Canadia!

Thanks for the info.

I did look at the Corvette Specialties before, but I didn't bookmark it because the portion of the website where it says "Parts" links his ebay listings (which is almost always empty).

I got spoiled in the South where I had many catalogs, and 100's of places to shop with full details online.

I guess in Canada it's back to the good 'ol phone instead of internet.
Maybe I should start a Vette parts supplier web site for the north-east, but I don't think there's much of a market right now; especially when bypass are falling on cars...
