Be advised...Geopar is SLOW!! I ordered a passenger side mirror from him,he sent a drivers side.I returned it 2 months ago and am still waiting for the replacement. This after several e-mails and a phone call. It's one thing to be busy, but if you're going to sell things to members, give better service. I could have purchased from a dealer, but thought I would support a fellow member. Never again!!

There are many good memebers here you can count on. Sorry you hit the other end. But don't write off everyone else.
Geopar posts quite a bit on another Corvette Forum, seems like there are a few concerns about slow service, but mainly very good reports. Didn't sound like anyone was stiffed. I'm reasonably sure he will come through for you, maybe he is out of town for a while.

Ya, I know Ken, it only takes one bad apple... but how long does it take to put a mirror in a box and drop it in the mail, no matter how busy you are. Unfortunately, I drilled the holes in the door before I realized it was for the other door.

You can run into the same problems with dealers, too. You always have to check your parts.
I think you have to look at each vendor - private or dealer - independently.
My experience with purchasing from C3VR members hasn't been extensive, but it's been great. I have purchased from Alex (Vette Specialties) on here and he was incredibly helpful and reliable. Got the parts exactly when promised.

I think two months is too damn long,if he's a seller, he either has it or not, he has Snoopy's money and snoopy has nothing, " like either the mirror or the money..now?! but that just me,I can relate, I ordered a small head driver's mirror from Paragon, a G.M.resto piece, came with a poor chrome job, returned it its going on three weeks, they are back ordered, at least I can get credit with a phone call, still pissed, going to a vette shop tomorrow and see what they got.

Back some time ago I communicated with geopar also and was not satisfied with responses. I passed. I'm a firm believer in ebay, as I pay quite a bit of attention to the ratings. I seldom purchase from someone with a low number, especially a high priced item. I've only been taken once in the past (approx. $30.00), and it was a non-ebay item. I believe caution is in order on this one. Maybe there are members out there who have had good luck with geopar and they can share their good fortunes as well. Don't want to dwell on the negative all the time.

I had really hoped to not have to make this post but after numerous unanswered emails to Geopar I must. He owes me $125 refund on a rear window tray for my 69 which he did ship but arrived damaged. He filed a claim with UPS and I supplied him with copies of our emails confirming the sale price. On 6/9/04 he emailed me that he had finally gotten reimbursed so now he has been paid twice. All my emails to him receive no reply. Earlier this week we were both online here on the site and I sent him an instant message which he ignored and logged off. There is no excuse for this behavior and I advise all members to find other sources for your parts.

maybe adam could add a vendor directory like the grossly underused mechanics directory and we could prevent people from buying from bad companies..
it could also serve as a good list of vendors and what they offer.. with feedback from various users to determine service/parts quality..
