Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
well it is a little interesting, and the facts vary from corvette fever to surfer boy in cali. i would drive one just cause no one would be. enough said.

Vette(s): 1975 Stingray Nomad Wagon, with Daytona front, custom hood scoop, dual side vents; 420HP 350; Doug Nash 5 speed; 1980 rear end W/4:11 gears; Cherry Red metallic paint.
Actually the reason for the fact difference is that they build, i believe 2 prototypes in 78/79, and 6 in 80 of the actual cars themselves.  One of the 2 prototypes hasa been destroyed, the other is in a private collection.  That Corvette Fever quoted the one being the last one is simple, there is no place that they are all recorded, no records of where they are all.  I am willing to bet that if the Vette Fever guy saw the one from Cali, he would be shocked.
I would still love to win the one on Ebay now.  Its just one of those customs that i would love to have.

Ugly, black sheep, fugly, don't matter to me that still one unique piece of Corvette history. Not much different then Greenwood doing a stationwagon conversion except this was done in conjunction with GM.  I'd own and drive one just because of its uniqueness (is that a word) LOL

I agree, Mark!  I'd be able to take the kids with me!  It'd have to be in addition to the "real" Vette though!  I'm gonna watch it on eBay....

I have a serious bid in on it now, gonna see about funding on Monday to bid higher if needed, and also to be able to restore it back to its original. Itsdave925702007-05-20 14:51:00

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
Although I am glad this didn't become popular, because in my book a sports car can only have 2 seats, it is another interesting piece of Corvette history.
It's the type of Vette that should be in the National Corvette Museum, like the 1983.
