I have for sale a "new" (has about 200 miles on it) 9 leaf rear spring from Muskeegon Brake. I was unable to use it due to the over-size tires I am running on the rear. It does require the use of 8" bolts for proper ride height. It was installed on my '72. I know shipping runs about $40.00. ....Take $90.00..............

I do beleive the spring on the 77 and up is a different width....I would check a supplier catalog to make sure. My car is a '72.

Dennis, if your car has the steel spring and iron diff., the one Reid has should fit. If it has the 'glass spring, and the aluminuminum diff., it won't.

Vette(s): 1980 all org. with 18000 act. miles dk claret with matching interior..Eagle alloys ..loaded..excellent cond.
[QUOTE=dnv]Reid;
Dennis, your 80 takes a 2 1/2 inch spring compared to the 63-79 witch take a 2 1/4 inch width.
Any idea if that will fit on an '80?
I can ask my vette mech here if need be. He just told me mine is flattened out and I also need 4 U-joints in the back.

I'll take a look at mine tonight - I might be able to use it. I'm at the bottom of the bottom of the bolts now, and the car sits a little low in the back for my tastes. I was planning on changing out the nylon spacers anyway.
Bob- Let me e-mail you off site........
