Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
Unfortunately due to divorce I have to sell the '69. I don't want to, but if I do I can keep the house (maybe). Here's the info:
'69 Convert, 350/300, TH400. Fathom Green, Green vinyl interior, white top. P/S, manual brakes. 3.08 rear.

I have stuck a ton of money in this car, I'll try to mention everything. I have almost all the original paperwork including the window sticker and build sheet in the origianl plastic litter bag. I also have receipts dating back to the early 70's. This car was stored inside for the last 30 years.

Engine: Professionally Rebuilt and detailed, 10.5:1, mild Crane cam and Pertronix ignition. Carb rebuilt and restored by the Quad Shop. All nre belts, hoses, plug wires, etc. All original ignition shielding (all the upper stuff in in very good shape, lower has some pitting). I have all the original smog equipment (not currently on the car).
Trans:Professionally rebuilt with mild shift kit.
Radiator recored, new A/C Delco fan clutch.
New Stainless steel exhaust 2 1/2" with new stainless tips
New brake and fuel lines.

Suspension: Rebuilt and powder coated T-arms by V-Tech, stainless brake hardware. New crossmember bushings. New steel leaf springs. New coils springs, front suspension completely rebuilt and detailed. Rebuilt brake calipers with s/s pistons, new brake hoses. New u-joints (drive shaft and half shafts).
When I did all the suspension work I stripped the frame to bare metal (metal is excellent, there was only surface rust) and painted it semi gloss black. The underside is clean enough to eat off of, I cleaned and detailed everything, even clear coated the calipers.
Seats- new covers from Al Knoch. New kick panel speakers (original AM/FM stereo, works fine). New quartz clock. All the gauges work except for the temp. The wire from the sender came off and shorted to the ignition shielding taking out the gauge. I have a new AC Delco gauge that I bought at Bloomington Gold that I haven't had a chance to put in yet.

I've probably left out stuff, I have a ton of time and money in it. Everything mechanical is new or rebuilt and detailed. It is numbers matching. It still needs paint and a new top and carpet. It is totally reliable and could be driven anywhere. It has 2 sets of rims/tires. Torque thrust 2's are on it with new BFG Radial T/A's. I also have the rally wheels with excellent Goodyear Eagle ST's.
I can e-mail pics of anything if someone is interested. I'm looking to get $18,000 out of it. I built this car to keep, not to sell, so I spared no expense. I wasn't planning on getting a divorce, but like the bumper sticker says "If you want to make God laugh, tell him you future plans".

You can also call me direct at (319)721-8469. I'm hoping to sell it here so I know it goes to a good home. It would kill me to sell it to someone with the money and no appreciation for it.

Matt

Jim,
I'm not in a huge hurry, the wife hasn't put the screws to me too bad yet. I would like to sell it sooner than later, but she's like a family member, I want her to go to a good home where she'll be taken care of.
