Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

Due to a baby on the way and a pending divorce (good timing, huh?), I have to sell the '69. Here;s the details:

Fathom Green / Green Interior, 350/300hp, auto (engine and trans prof, rebuilt, stock except for Crane cam and shift kit). Restored carb (done by quad shop).  3.08 posi (new seals). Front and rear suspension rebuilt and detailed, (t-arms rebuilt by V-Tech and powder coated) s/s calipers. new brake lines, 2 1/4 stainless exhaust. New upholstry (professionally installed). Recored radiator, new Delco fan clutch. 2 sets of rims (stock rims with Eagle St's and American Racing TT 2's with new BFG T/A's). I the original paperwork and window sticker as well as a huge folder full of receipts and the build sheet. It needs paint (original, it's cracked). Fiberglass in in great shape, 1 small crack behind rear bumper. Original Astro Glass. Needs a new top. Odomter reads 73k, it's really about 80k, odometer broke a while back and I was more concerned with getting everything else fixed. Oh, I also stripped the frame to bare metal with the body on and detailed it. I don't want to sell it, but I need furnishings for my apartment and cash for attorney fees. Htis sucks, but life happens. $18,000 obo.

Matt,

Sorry to hear that also..........

Considering the car's originality, documentation, & it's condition, I think you're price is fairly low.  I've seen cars in no where near the shape of yours go for over 20k.

You should be able to get in the mid 20's for it, unless you're in a hurry to move it.

Check E-Bay & CCTOL.com for comparisons.

Good luck with everything,

Anthony

Matt,
Sorry to hear about your divorce. Hope things are settled fairly for both of you. Usually the lawyers are the winners.
I don't have a clue about your relationship with the Vette, but I know I would sleep on the floor of an empty apartment and give my attorney an IOU before I sold mine. And it is no where as nice as yours.

Put an ad in the local papers and it will sell quickly at that price. Wish I had the cash. I'd store it for you until you got back on your feet.

Good luck and keep your head above the water. We care.

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.

I agree with Dwight as to the lawyers being the winners. If there's any way possible, try to settle the divorce without a lawyer. It can be done because i've done it 3 times.  Divorce is a difficult period in anyone's life but we all wish you the best.

I've bought a couple of corvettes from this guy, both 62's and the last being about 6 years ago. Contact him...he might want to buy your car or maybe he can help you sell it.

Thanks for all the support guys. I'm going to try to work things out with her without lawyers. I about crapped my pants when I found out what the state thinks I should pay in child support, $1500! I'm going to stay living there for a few months while I save up some cash. Then I'm going to rent a cheap small apartment, and try to keep the 'Vette as best as I can. I'm going to let her keep staying in the house for a few years since the kids are small, then we'll see what happens. Hopefully we can keep the lawyers out of the picture.
