$$$ can't be too high. i would be willing to rebuild a vette on my own putting a little $ in at a time and build it like that. so i would rather buy a good fixer upper. i bought mine for 6,000 us dollars but put a good amt into it.

Wow...that's a wee bit high, for a small block, even if it is a convertible.
Now, if it only has very few miles, and is absolutely perfect in every way, is not a "yucky" color, and all paperwerk is included, it will bring that kind of cash for the right person. And...don't forget, the '74s had a few "weird", one year only items, such as the tail/brake lights, and the seat-belt/ignition interlock, that can be expensive to repair.(if ya care if it werks!)
I have more than that in my '74 right now, but.... I would be lucky to get $14,000-$15,000 for it.
