Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

I'm looking for an original insturment bezel for my '69. I know I can get aftermarket, but I'd rather have original. Please e-mail me at machm1969@aol.com

Thanks,

Matt

Vette(s): 1969 L71 riverside gold convertible on frame restoration numbers matching motor 4:11 factory rear 4speed with hooker side pipes
was just at a corvette show and saw a couple there. I would guess any corvette show would have at least 1 vendor with what your looking for. Good hunting.

They're different, it would have to be 69-71. Thanks for trying though.

I looked for over a year to find a really nice piece for my 70 which is the same as the one you need. They can cost up to $300.00 for a really clean original. Some guys are asking $400-$500 now! Be patient and one will turn up.

I agree with your preference for an original because I first bought the repro and anyone with an educated eye can tell the difference plus the tooling is worn out on the repro. As a result of this experiance I now seek original parts.

I have the repro that I would sell for $90.00 to anyone interested. I redid the paint correctly and detailed the area around the seat belt button to more closely resemble the original. I also detailed the letters so that they are a little sharper. This is the repro from original tooling so the letters are the correct size and thickness. There is another repro with real thin letters that are obviously different from the original.

Good Luck! Finding those original parts is part of the fun!

Bill

I have one for a 69 if you don't like the one from ebay. Mine is in real nice shape; in storage since 1990 or longer. Bob
